I
firmly believe that if you snooze, you lose. Here are a few
of my attempts to always be creating, meeting, working, doing,
something:
I own and operate Ballyhoo
Promotions, an PR and production company in New York
City. Are you a comedian or actor in NYC? Do you need help
producing a show or special event? Then you're in luck, because
at Ballyhoo Promotions, we've got hype made to order.
Major clients include the comedy nightclub Comix,
the performance space I created called Ochi's
Lounge, Christian
Finnegan (VH1's Best Week Ever, Chappelle's
Show), God's
Pottery, Jest
Magazine, Chamerblain
Bros., Anthony
DeVito (writer for US magazine's Fashion
Police), novelist Edith
Layton and the reality TV show Meow Mix House.

My Jailed
Deaf Dad has written me lots of letters over the years even
before he got locked up for attempted murder. In February
2006, I started Love,
Daddy to document this
correspondence, our relationship pre- and post-prison and
other stories of drugs, sex and violence. Feel good humor,
I assure you. Book
me for a reading!
In
June 2006, FreshYarn.com
published an essay I wrote about growing up in a tin shed,
attempted murders by my jailed deaf dad and other shenanigans.
Read
it here.
I am the owner of Tex in the City. We host networking
events for Texans living in NYC. On occasion we produce big
events like a
book party for Governor Ann Richards,
a free trip for 60 to Urinetown the Musical
with pre-show
party and exclusive post-show Q& A with the cast and
other amazing free shows and soirees.
I began "blogging" before blogs were invented. It
has undergone several transformations, but its current title
is "Daily Dose".
On a near daily basis, I post my daily missives, upcoming
events in NYC and poor attempts at witticism and humor.
